SEND Teaching Assistant - Secondary Sheffield, S10 £115 per day Start date: September 2026 Contract type: Long-term Working hours: Full-time Monday – Friday (term time only), 08:00 - 16:00   Unique School Solutions is supporting a secondary school in the S10 area of Sheffield to appoint an enthusiastic and talented SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026. The role:
  • Supporting SEND students to access curriculum content within a classroom environment
  • Working on a 1:1 basis with students with SEND needs including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and SEMH needs
  • Supporting with the design and delivery of educational resources
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Encourage student confidence, independence, and participation
  • Working as part of the SEND team
  • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety policies at all times
Essential requirements for the role:
  • Previous/recent experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a school environment
  • Experience working with students with a range of SEND needs
  • The ability to work with small groups of students supporting learning
  • The ability to work with students on a 1:1 basis supporting learning
