Unique School Solutions is supporting a large primary school in the S13 area of Sheffield to appoint an enthusiastic and talented SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term temporary basis from ASAP. This is a full-time, long-term ongoing role.

The role

• Supporting SEND students to access curriculum content within a classroom environment
• Working on a 1:1 basis with students with SEND needs including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and SEMH needs
• Supporting with the design and delivery of educational resources

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Encourage student confidence, independence, and participation.

• Working as part of the SEND team

• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety policies at all times.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous/recent experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a school environment
• Experience working with students with a range of SEND needs
• The ability to work with small groups of students supporting learning
• The ability to work with students on a 1:1 basis supporting learning
