EAL Teaching Assistant Sheffield, S8  £120 per day Start date: September 2026 Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement  Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only, 8am to 4pm   Unique School Solutions are supporting a large secondary school in the S8 area of Sheffield to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can work across school, supporting students with English as an Additional Language. The role will be working within the classroom under the direction of the teacher, supporting KS3 and KS4 students. The role is to start ASAP in September 2026 and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.   About the school:

Essential requirements for the role:

The role will be working 1:1 with a student with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) in the schools SEND resource and within the classroom, under the direction of the teachers. It's a part-time role for 3 days a week (school are flexible on the days). The role is to start ASAP in September 2026 on an ongoing basis.   About the school:

  • Previous/recent experience working as a HLTA within a primary school
  • Strong curriculum knowledge
  • Flexibility to work across different classes
