Contract type: 4 weeks initially with a possible extension 

Working hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, term time only

Unique School Solutions are supporting a Secondary School in Sheffield to appoint a Woodwork Technician. You will be working in a busy school workshop environment preparing materials and supporting teachers with lesson preparation. You will need good knowledge of workshop health and safety and ideally previous school experience. The role is to start immediately and will initially be for 4 weeks with a possible extension.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous experience working within a school workshop or similar setting
• Excellent knowledge of workshop health and safety
• A working knowledge of machinery such as circular saws
• Experience of monitoring and ordering woodwork equipment
• Experience of preparing woodwork equipment for classrooms
• The ability to build rapport with young learners
• The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative
