Unique School Solutions are supporting a warm and welcoming special needs school in Rotherham
to recruit for an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with
SEND needs within their specialist primary school for children aged 5-11 years.
This school provides bespoke educational opportunities to primary age students with a range of
additional needs.

The role will be working within the classroom under the direction of the teacher supporting children
on a 1:1 and small group basis. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with
complex behaviour needs and communication difficulties.The role may require personal care, for which full on-site training will be provided.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous experience working within a school (mainstream or special)
• Experience supporting children with SEND
•  The ability to build rapport with young learners
• The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative
• The ability to support SEND children with complex additional needs on a 1:1 basis
