Unique School Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Secondary School in the Barnsley area to appoint an Integrated Resource Unit Supervisor to oversee the daily running of their IR.

Essential requirements for the role:

– 5 GCSE’s or above / equivalent including English & Maths

– Previous experience working with children with SEND and/or behaviours that challenge, school avoidance, anxiety and social needs

– The ability to work under pressure and think on your feet

– Understanding of safeguarding procedures and policies

– Previous experience working within a school or similar establishment

Duties include but are not limited to:

– To be the first line of support for Teaching Assistants working in the IR

– To implement changes and adaptations within the IR to drive results

– To support children directly within the IR

– To implement and hold boundaries relating to the students who are accessing the IR and direct them to other support services if necessary

– To work closely with parents/carers and Senior Leadership
