Contract type: Temp – perm after 12 weeks

Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only, 35.5 hours a week

Unique School Solutions are supporting a large Secondary school in Sheffield. They are needing a Teaching Assistant to start in January 2027 on a full-time basis. After 12 weeks, for the right person the role can become permanent.

The role

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Work with individuals and small groups of students to reinforce learning
• Maintain a productive classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour
• Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Encourage student confidence, independence, and participation
• Support students pastorally, helping to promote their wellbeing and engagement in school life
• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety policies at all times

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous/recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment
• A genuine passion for supporting students and helping them succeed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
