Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only, 35.5 hours a week

Unique School Solutions are supporting a large SEND school in Rotherham, who support students aged 5-19 with Autism (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). They are needing a SEND teacher to cover a maternity leave from November 2026, for a year. You will be expected to plan, deliver and assess bespoke schemes of work to meet the needs of the students, whilst managing a large team of teaching assistants who will be working with the students on either a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous experience of working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs, preferably ASD
• PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Ability to plan and deliver bespoke schemes of work across a range of age groups
• Personal Care experience beneficial
• Good level of physical fitness
• The ability to lead a group of teaching assistants
• Patience, empathy resilience
