Working hours: Full-time Monday – Friday (term time only) 08:30 – 15:30

Unique School Solutions is supporting a primary school in the S5 area of Sheffield to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work within their specialist provision on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term ongoing role.

This rewarding role involves providing support to pupils with additional needs within a specialist learning environment. As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will work closely with a small specialist team to help the students access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within the school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, team and SENDCO to deliver tailored support throughout the school day.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous and recent experience supporting children with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with Autism and/or ADHD
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach to behaviour and learning
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to differentiate classroom work to meet the students need/preferences
• Team Teach training would be desirable but not essential.
